Training courses
In our work, we adhere to a scientific and engineering approach, when deep scientific knowledge is combined with practical experience in the application of industry technologies. The same principle is implemented in training – courses are read by specialists with extensive experience both in modeling and in solving specific production problems.
The training program includes both basic and advanced courses in various areas of application of geomechanics:
- Fundamentals of geomechanics
- 3D geomechanical modeling
- Drilling optimization based on geomechanical modeling
- Development optimization based on geomechanical modeling
- Geomechanical support of well construction in the Geodrill software
The duration of one course is 2-5 days.
When conducting training for specialists from one company, the program and duration are negotiated individually, depending on the goals of training and the level of initial training.
Implementation of geomechanics
Geomechanics is a multidisciplinary science. Physics, mathematics, geology, geophysical methods of investigation, petrophysics - a geomechanics specialist must have a sufficiently high qualification in each of these areas and be able to compare the results of modeling with the applied drilling or development technologies. It takes at least 3 years to become a specialist.
PetroGM performs complex implementation of geomechanics by teaching and transferring its experience and technologies within the framework of long-term strategic projects.
Implementation project includes:
- Analysis of the current situation and definition of implementation goals
- Conducting training seminars on an individual program
- Delivery and training in specialized software
- Joint implementation of projects to optimize the most important areas
- Support for projects carried out by the Customer's specialists
Duration of implementation is 2-3 years. During the project implementation, the expertise and technologies possessed by PetroGM are systematically transferred to the Customer.

This approach is the most effective due to the simultaneous optimization of the most significant areas, which gives a quick economic effect, and the creation of an environment conducive to learning. Specialists learn by constantly interacting with experts and solving actual production problems. New technologies are harmoniously integrated into the production processes of the enterprise, pay off quickly and often serve as a driver for further development.
The introduction of geomechanics can significantly increase the efficiency of:
- Well construction
- Mining and development
